Do It Now Day of Service, November 2nd

City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young joined community leaders and students at Mothers Garden on Wednesday, November 2, during Do It Now Day, a citywide day of service. This special day was held in honor of Baltimore’s former mayor, William Donald Schaefer.

The inaugural day of service paid tribute to former Mayor Schaefer, who dedicated his life to improving his beloved City of Baltimore, while working for all its residents. “Former Mayor Schaefer used his energy, intellect and political know-how to improve the city he loved,” Council President Young said. “I am proud to continue his legacy of service with a citywide cleanup initiative.”

Thank you to the many volunteers that joined President Young in Mothers Garden to help clean-up and restore the park!
